NASHVILLE, Tenn.— The Banana Ball Championship League announced that Nashville will host the 2027 BBCL Banana Bowl Championship Game on Saturday, September 25, at the new Nissan Stadium.
The event will see two Banana Ball teams face off for the championship. Fans interested in purchasing tickets are encouraged to enter the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery List. Additional pre-sale opportunities will be announced at a later date.
“We are excited to host the 2027 BBCL Banana Bowl Championship Game in Nashville,” said Deana Ivey, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “This event will bring fans from across the country to Music City and give both visitors and locals another opportunity to experience our city, which has built a strong reputation for bringing people together through sports, music, and entertainment. Events like this continue to create excitement and economic impact for our city.”
The current Nissan Stadium made history as the second-ever NFL stadium to host a Savannah Bananas game when they took on the Party Animals on May 10, 2025, in front of 70,000 fans.
“We are so excited to welcome Banana Ball back to Nissan Stadium,” said Chelsea Lipocky, Tennessee Titans Head of Stadium Revenue. “The Banana Ball teams always put on a show, and we are confident the new Nissan Stadium will be the perfect backdrop for their championship game.”
The new Nissan Stadium is scheduled for completion in Feb. 2027, with major events and concerts expected to begin in April. Other event announcements in the new stadium are expected in coming months.
